Patient HIS is a state-of-the-art hospital information system distinguished by high adaptability and flexibility. Patient HIS integrates all of a hospital’s healthcare processes into a single system, thus forming an integral information space at the institution. The system allows automation of individual departments as well as of the hospital as a whole. This solution is suited for both large state and small private healthcare institutions. The system is primarily oriented at solving tasks of practical healthcare. Patient HIS is a scalable integrated solution with a number of advantages:
Patient HIS is a new generation information product recognized as an effective solution for healthcare management. The system supports both patients and clinical staff by ensuring the capture, storage and processing of personal healthcare data, which enables prompt clinical decisions. Multiple innovations and high adaptability to existing hospital practices ensure a high level of satisfaction with the system among patients and clinicians. Patient HIS Technology Patient HIS is an integrated platform with a single architecture, configurable user interface, and powerful user support. It was designed from the start as a complex information system aimed at solving multiple tasks of specific hospital departments. It meets all the requirements of a modern hospital and includes features for: patient management; clinical staff support; and information support for laboratory tests, drugstores, diagnostic departments, the statistics department, and financial and economic services. Patient HIS:
Patient HIS Database Patient HIS is completely built on ORACLE technologies and can be used with any technologically compatible solutions. The system has a version based on free DBMS ORACLE developed specially for small private clinics. Efficient data storage allows the selection and analysis of any database information by specified criterion. The system meets all up-to-date requirements for personal data protection. Registration and planning in Patient HIS The system provides a powerful tool for patient communication that helps to optimize time spent by patients and clinicians. This component allows prompt identification of patients by the first letters of their name, date of birth, bar-coded and magnetic card, personal number and access code. A typical hospital web site ensures connection of patients to the system via computer or mobile phone with an Internet connection. We were among the first to integrate special remote computer terminals into the system that allow patients to schedule a doctor's appointment, view their electronic medical records and leave feedback on the quality of healthcare services without any assistance from hospital staff. Patient HIS has a built-in scheduler for efficient scheduling of appointments and its prompt adaptation to external changes. This allows efficient use of the hospital’s human resources and the minimum possible time spent by the patient to obtain healthcare services. When a doctor’s appointment is made, the scheduler automatically generates an e-mail or SMS. The registration and planning component allows effective planning and usage of the hospital’s human resources and avoids wasted time spent by patients in lines. Electronic Medical Record in Patient HIS Patient HIS is a multi-feature system that provides clinical staff with instant access to electronic data related to their patients’ health state. EMR accumulates into a single electronic document comprehensive patient health data from multiple healthcare professionals involved in patient treatment. The simple technology for expanding information allows quick adding of text and color graphic files transmitted from automatic diagnostic machines. EMR provides doctors with instant access to long-term patient records at the point of care. The patient is also given the opportunity to upload scanned documents or personal observations from his own computer. Users have 24/7 safe access to data in their electronic records via certified security tools. Patient HIS implements a flexible security model with a configurable system of locks and keys. Protection tools provide secure regimented access to healthcare information, user functions, individual records and data. A user’s security profile defines a set of keys and locks through which he can access personal information in EMR as well as certain features. The system registers all internal and external events. Patient HIS allows:
Patient HIS Scalability Patient HIS provides high scalability for implementation of particular goals. It allows easy creation of medical teams composed by structural and target designation from a group of doctors to structural units of a hospital such as out-patient and in-patient departments, or other departments and services. User interfaces for clinicians were developed in cooperation with practicing clinicians and specialists and allow multiple individual settings. The system has role models for clinicians of all specializations, which allows preliminary customization of a workstation for a healthcare specialist whether he is a physician, surgeon or radiologist. Users obtain rights to access certain electronic documents, view or edit them, and can access specific handbooks and electronic record templates. Clinicians can make entries in EMRs by coping from other documents and building documents from separate text and graphic fragments. Patient HIS includes hospital, regional and federal handbooks of clinical and economic standards for treatment. By simply selecting from a recommended list, one can create a patient treatment plan according to a chosen standard, which ensures high quality healthcare. Scheduled consultations, medication, diagnostics and laboratory studies are automatically uploaded to corresponding automated working stations. The system records the entire process of movement of medications from prescription to receipt, simultaneously controlling contraindications, dosage and drug interactions. The system has an analytical module for automated assessment of medications by specified criteria. Patient HIS is a closed-loop multi-user system that allows control and coordination for a highly efficient patient treatment process. Use of the system will be especially productive when extended across several corporate medical institutions, as this allows for a common database and reference and guideline support. Patient HIS provides practical support for financial management. Real-time medical billing ensures efficient financial management. The system automatically follows up on accounts receivable and blocks rendering of non-prepaid healthcare services. Efficient planning and continuous control over clinical staff work and expensive equipment operation allow efficient human and material management. Human Resources Management in Patient HIS Patient HIS automates one of the most labor-intensive and costly parts of working with staff – accounting of the clinicians’ work load and personification of bills for healthcare services rendered. Developed in cooperation with practicing clinicians, the technology for accounting of personal input of individual clinicians allows as well accounting of services rendered as a part of the healthcare team. Data on individual financial contribution of clinicians is the basis for efficient staff control and motivation system. The system registers the complete history of relations with individual clinicians for the entire period of cooperation, including professional training, career progress and results of healthcare activity. Patient HIS provides the complete list of approved forms for state healthcare reporting. A built-in generator of report forms allows a system administrator to create new document forms on his own. A built-in system-based template guide allows creation of various forms of protocols, clinical studies, orders, prescriptions and other documents. Patient HIS is easily configurable to match the structure and composition of any healthcare institution. The basic data for configuration is the registry of the institution’s clinicians with data on their employment place, specialization and attestation. All settings are made remotely by our system implementation specialists or the hospital’s system administrator and assigned to users during system implementation to regulate access to patient personal data. We developed Patient HIS in close cooperation with practicing clinicians of several large regional hospitals. This is the key element of our success! We continuously develop and expand our solutions, ensuring that Patient HIS is always up-to-date and efficient. Our approach is delivery to the market of the most state-of-the art technological solutions aimed at meeting new healthcare requirements. The quality and reliability of Patient HIS is proven by long-term experience of operating the system in large medical and preventive care institutions! |
