Description: Nyaganskaya Okrug Hospital is one of the best multi-field healthcare institutions in Khanty-Mansiisk Okrug. Nyaganskaya Hospital is designed for 500 cots. 3. Implementation Process:
Medotrade’s staff implemented Patient HIS in the Hospital in November, 2007. The beginning of the implementation consisted of preliminary setting up of users rights and main system directories. The hospital staff was provided with a computer class to train doctors, receptionists and laboratory assistants and paramedical personnel. After the training in the computer class ended, the hospital staff obtained help by Patient HIS operation at the workstations: patient registration in the in-patient department, filling-in a disease history, drawing up statistical charts, etc. In January, 2008 operational testing started and some recording forms were improved according to the staff's notes and suggestions. Since 2009 Patient HIS has been operated by the hospital staff in full force.
4. Implementation results:
Due to implementation 17 in-patient departments, consulting-diagnostics center, laboratory and diagnostics services, blood transfusion department were automated. More than 800 users work in the system. In October, 2008 Patient His was integrated with laboratory analyzers and as a result the data from the analyzers automatically get into patients' electronic medical records. Medotrade's specialists integrated Patient HIS with the DICOM-server thus allowing the doctor to look through the X-ray images at their work stations. Patient HIS use allowed the hospital staff to reduce significantly the time for medical documentation filling in, to have reliable and complete medical, statistical and administrative information.
