July, 16, the Fifth All-Russia Information-propagandistic Health-improvement Campaign “Health Wave” is starting in Khanty-Mansiisk (Yugra).

The session of the organizing committee in the videoconferencing mode is taking place in Khanty-Mansiisk. The representatives of the executive branch of the government, of social agencies and mass media are taking part in the session.

Within the event the participants are connecting by videoconferencing with the campaign providers: Leo Bokeria – the president of the All-Russia Social Agency, member of the RAMS, Gennadiy Onishchenko – the Main Russia’s Public Health Doctor, the Chief of the Russian Federal Consumer Rights Protection and Human Health Control Service, member of the RAMS and the RANS, Irina Rodnina – a three-time Olympic figure skating champion, the Deputy of the State Duma of the Russian Federation, Nikolay Daihes – the Head of the Clinical Science Center of Otorhinolaryngology of Russia’s Federal Medical and Biological Agency, Khristo Takhchidi - the Head of the Fedorov Eye Microsurgery Center, the member of the Council of the Nation Health League, Evgeniy Brun – the main Narcologist of the Department of Health and Social Development of the Russian Federation, Zurab Kekelidze – the Deputy Director of the Serbskiy State Science Center of Social and Forensic Psychiatry, and they are discussing the questions in campaign keeping at the Okrug territory.

As the press-service of Yugra’s Healthcare Department notes, in Yugra’s Government the project is attached a great significance as the campaign main purpose is rendering addressed help to the children suffering from congenital heart defect, hearing and vision disorders, and as well promotion and implementation of innovation technologies for people’s health improvement, promotion of healthy lifestyle, physical fitness and sports. As Vsevolod Koltsov, the Director Yugorsk Healthcare Department says, the Okrug management has realized the whole package of measures which are necessary for successful carrying out of campaign; - all the questions of organizing the flights, accommodation and meals for campaign participants for the whole period of their staying in Khanty-Mansiisk are settled.

“In Khanty-Mansiisk the work will be organized at the basis of the Okrug Clinical Hospital, the necessary diagnostic equipment. In the Okrug capital 68 children are planned to me examined, among them 22 children are of the cardiological profile, 22 children have visual organs pathology, 12 children with ENT-pathology and hearing disorders. In Gornopravdinsk 49 children are planned to be examined. To participate in the campaign we are delegating the two specialists of the Okrug Cardiological Dispensary, a portable sonicator is allocated for the work”, - Vsevolod Koltsov.

It is worth noting that the members of the organizing committee has voiced criticism towards Russian Public Television not only for alcohol advertisement but also for asocial lifestyle promotion.
 

The Campaign participants are going by motor vessel “Rimskiy Korsakov” along the cities of the Ob-river basin on route Khanty-Mansiisk-Tobolsk-Omsk and calling at Gornopravdinsk, Tara, Uvaite, Tevriz, Bolsherechie. At the end of the campaign the children needing help will be presented the certificates for a free medical help in the best clinics of the country.
 

Member of the Academy Leo Bokeria noted that this year the campaign was going under “Non-alcohol Russia” mote and the motor vessel was going to the West Siberia for the first time.

 “During the year of the Campaign carrying out mote than 2,5 thousand children had underwent medical examination and more than 800 had been presented the certificates for a free medical help in the best clinics of the country. More than 40 thousand people ad taken part in “Health Wave” events. Though it sounds like super-task to make people think of their health and the future of the country, but is needs to be done”,-  the leading Russia’s cardiologist summarized.
