The hospital staff was provided with a computer class for training where doctors and paramedical personnel were trained. In December, 2009 operational testing started and some recording forms were improved according to the hospital staff notes and suggetions. Since 2009 the Center staff has been operating Patient HIS in full force.
4. Implementation results:
Through the implementation 16 in-patient and all out-patient departments were automated. More than 500 users work in the system. Per quarter of work more than 17000 finished cases of the out-patient departments passed though the HIS and more than 8000 finished cases of the in-patient departments passed through the HIS per year. The hospital staff helps the developers actively to improve Patient HIS. On Patient HIS eimplementation the Center staff got rid of the necessity to duplicate the input information. Patient HIS use allowed the hospital staff to have reliable and complete medical, statistical and administrative information. Due to regular update of the insured people base the healthcare institution has current information about patients. Available units for checking the input statistical information allow controlling all the data which are necessary for compiling the lists of the services rendered and the cases treated.
